Classroom I

After graduating from University of Kentucky with a degree in psychology, Melissa served in Americorps traveling around the world as a missionary working to help build schools for orphans and training teachers on how to educate the children in their care.  Melissa then earned her primary Montessori certification through Montessori Opportunities and began teaching at Providence.  After two years at the primary level, she earned her toddler Montessori certification and switched to the toddler level.  After a total of five years at Providence, Melissa became a stay-at-home mom for her two children.  She happily rejoined Providence for the 2022-2023 school year teaching again at the primary level.
